Plug into a global
engineering team.

Polyteknium is assembling Poland's most talented engineers to build world-class software on an international stage.

Hiring the right engineer is a notoriously long and demanding process. Teams often end up spending more time recruiting than coding.

They post dozens of job applications, review hundreds of resumes and conduct hours of interviews. Roles remain vacant for months while marketing and recruiting fees pile up.

What if you could source talent from the EU's fastest growing economy and #1-ranked developer base?

Now you can.

Polyteknium recruits Poland's top engineers to work full-time, remotely on your projects from start to finish.

Systems integration

Systems integration connects otherwise isolated software systems, from accounting to analytics to CRM, to improve the quality and utility of data used within your organization.

Modular architectures

We build service-oriented, API-driven, functional designs instead of dependency-driven monoliths.

Process automation

We build tools to extract, clean, enrich and validate data for reducing manual work and streamlining workflows.

Application security

When dealing with sensitive client and financial data, cybersecurity is a priority, not an afterthought.

Thoroughly tested code

We catch bugs before they happen using test-driven development, frequent code reviews and continuous integration.

Comprehensive technical documentation

Every code and deployment service is thoroughly documented to improve software maintenance, reduce service interruptions and clarify architectural decisions.

We specialize in financial services software because that's what we do best.

Reporting & compliance

Produce automated reports of up-to-date, accurate information on financial performance for clients, compliance and senior management.

Data extraction

Pull data from APIs, pricing feeds, third-party databases or websites to build a golden source of validated financial data.

Analytics dashboards

Get real-time performance data on key business metrics with flexible, visualization-driven analytics dashboards.

Data warehousing

Build an analytics infrastructure atop your transactional data using a coherent data model, database optimization and cloud services.

Predictive analytics

Incorporate machine learning into your products to better evaluate risk, evaluate new investment opportunities and improve fraud detection rates.

Custom software

Streamline internal workflows and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks with custom-developed software scripts.

Financial services firms often face a familiar challenge for their software development needs: rely on a one-size-fits-all product, or no software at all.

Standardized software means long development cycles, bug tickets which remain open for months, and new features that never catch up to new business processes. Workflows become workarounds.

Not using software is equally daunting: manual processes are time-consuming, inconsistent and error-prone. Data quality issues become financial liabilities. Untapped data sources become missed opportunities.

Polyteknium works with you to build customized, secure, data-driven software from start to finish.

Here's what we work in.

Build the right mindware.

Build the right software.

Developing software is not just about writing code. It is reflecting, debating, asking questions, tinkering and discovering. In other words, before we can build the right software, we must have the right mindware.

Go where the talent is.

Polyteknium was founded on a simple idea: the world's most qualified engineers come from everywhere, not just Silicon Valley. Explore a new frontier in software engineering with an international footprint in Poland.

Just over a quarter-century ago, Poland was saddled with a stagnant economy, aging infrastructure and underdeveloped urban centers. But a lot has changed since then.

Poland now boasts the fastest growing economy in the European Union. It’s powered by modern cities, a highly-educated labor force, and a strong focus on technological progress.

As third in the world in software engineering, Poland is home to the future’s most powerful growth engine: tech talent.

Executive Team

Alex Petralia

Prior to founding Polyteknium, Alex was a data engineer and analyst at a quantitative hedge fund in New York City. His work in data analysis has been featured in The Boston Globe and US News & World Report, and he has spoken multiple times at PyCon, the largest international conference for the Python programming language. He is a certified Software Carpentries instructor and has taught programming courses in NYC.

Advisory Team

Matthew Finestone, CFA

Matthew Finestone, CFA is a Director of Business Development at Loopring, a blockchain firm specializing in protocol development for electronic trading. Prior to Loopring, Matthew worked as a fixed income trader at Casgrain & Company, an investment dealer based in Montreal, CA. Matthew is a CFA Charterholder and a graduate of McGill University.

Alaap Parikh

Alaap Parikh is a quantitative trader at Tower Research Capital, a trading firm in NYC, specializing in software engineering, machine learning and market research. Prior to Tower, Alaap was also a quantitative trader at Sun Trading, a hedge fund based in London. Alaap received both his B.A. in Economics and M.A. in Finance from Princeton University.

Jerry Genser

Jerry combines over 6 years of healthcare and technology experience across various organizations in the Boston area. Currently he serves as the Director of Data Science at Commonwealth Care Alliance, a healthcare non-profit managing over 25,000 patients throughout Massachusetts. Formerly Jerry worked as a project leader at healthcare startup Avante-garde Health, and as a consulting associate at the management consulting firm Charles River Associates.
